Sara Pentikainen has a wealth of work experience. From 2009 to 2019, they have held various roles in a variety of companies. From 2009 to 2013, they worked as a Sales Assistant at K-citymarket Oy, where they were responsible for reaching individual and team sales targets and handling significant cash takings. Sara also exceeded expectations in a company-based training competition in 2011. From 2013 to 2014, they worked as a Barista/Waiting staff at Grub Fresh Food, where they were responsible for the day-to-day activities of a busy café, including operating the till, preparing foods and drinks, managing stock, and delivering excellent customer service. From 2014 to 2016, they worked as an Office Assistant and Deckhand at Clyde Marine Services Ltd, where they were responsible for the day-to-day running of the company’s Aberdeen operations, including selling tickets and assisting customers. From 2016 to 2019, they worked at Just Innovate as a Programs Team Officer for Collaborate for Social Impact (C4SI). From 2015 to 2019, they worked at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, where they held the roles of Project Officer and Research and Project Assistant for the Global Health Centre. In this role, they conducted research, created and edited articles, documents, databases, and drafts, attended meetings, and created memos. Sara was also responsible for the overall coordination of the first “Geneva Health Week” in 2017, as well as the organisation of multiple individual events of the week. Finally, from 2019 to present, they have been a Senior Project Manager and Project Manager at Kognity.
Sara Pentikainen attended Ressun Lukio from 2007 to 2010, where they earned a Ylioppilas degree. Sara then attended the University of Aberdeen from 2011 to 2015 and received an MA (hons.) in Politics and International Relations with a focus in Social Sciences. Finally, they attended the Geneva Graduate Institute from 2015 to 2017 and earned an MDev, Master in Development Studies, with a focus in Development Economics and International Development.
