Tessa Dagley

Program Manager (curriculum, Us) at Kognity

Tessa Dagley has worked in the education sector since 2012. From 2012-2013, they were a Communications Intern at 3FF (Three Faiths Forum), where they gained experience in press release writing, funding/trust application writing, proofreading and editorial work, current affairs research, events marketing, and office administration. Tessa also participated in intercultural and interfaith training. From 2013-2018, they worked at Epigeum/Oxford University Press, where they held a variety of roles, including Commissioning Editor, Project Editor, Assistant Editor, and Editorial Assistant. During this time, they managed diverse projects, conducted in-depth research, commissioned and designed new projects, developed pedagogy, built author teams, liaised closely with subject matter experts, and oversaw global projects through their development processes. Tessa was also frequently involved in promotional activities, such as delivering presentations and webinars, writing blogs and marketing copy, and speaking to key stakeholders. In 2013, they also worked as an English Teacher at Concorde International, teaching English to junior and adult international students, as well as leading activities and excursions. Since 2018, they have been employed at Kognity, where they have held the roles of Content Lead for the US, Content Lead for IBDP, and Senior Project Manager. In these roles, they have conducted research, developed strategy, built networks, designed learning, and led the development of teaching and learning resources for high schools in the US, with a current focus on developing resources for the NGSS.

Tessa Dagley's education history includes a MSt in Global and Imperial History from the University of Oxford (2011-2012), a BA (Hons) History from Durham University (2008-2011), and a secondary education from St Edmund's School, Canterbury (2000-2007). Additionally, they hold a Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA) from the University of Cambridge.
