Tao Tong

Tao Tong is a co-founder of Kolmostar Inc., a position they have held since May 2016. Prior to this, in July 2015, Tao served as a Young Entrepreneur in Residence at IDG Capital Partners until February 2016. They have a background in electrical and computer engineering, as seen through their role as a PhD student at Harvard University from July 2011 to July 2015. During their time at Harvard, Tao worked on designing electronics and computing systems for the Harvard Robobee project. Before Harvard, Tao worked as a Design Engineer at Lion Semiconductor from May 2013 to December 2014 and at MediaTek Wireless, Inc. from March 2011 to June 2011.

Tao Tong has an extensive education history in the field of electrical engineering and computer sciences. Tao began their academic journey in 2005, obtaining a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Tsinghua University. This laid the foundation for further education, and in 2009, they pursued a Master of Science (B.S.) degree in the same field from Oregon State University.

Building upon their master's education, Tao Tong proceeded to pursue a PhD from Harvard University starting in 2011. During this time, they also participated in a cross-registration program at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), specializing in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences.

Between 2011 and 2015, Tao Tong concurrently studied in both Harvard University and MIT, culminating in the completion of their PhD in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences from Harvard University.

Overall, Tao Tong's education journey took him from Tsinghua University in China to Oregon State University in the United States, and eventually to prestigious institutions like Harvard University and MIT.
