Amy Yang has worked in the tech industry since 2003. Amy began their career at LGC Wireless (formerly Alvarion, Inc. and InterWAVE Communications) as a System Test Engineer. In this role, they were in charge of functional testing, capacity/load testing, and performance testing for InterWAVE GSM/GPRS products, including WXC Switch (MSC, HLR, VLR), BSC, BTS, BS Plus (BSC+BTS), NIB (network-in-a-box), and OMC (GUI Operations and Maintenance Center) systems. Her job duties included test plan development, test network setup and configuration, test equipment and tools evaluation and installation, test cases execution, bug tracking, automation, and documentation.
In 2007, Amy Yang moved to Symmetricom, Inc. as a Senior SQA Engineer, where they were responsible for system testing for Symmetricom NTP, PTP network timing synchronization systems. Her job duties included system test cycle planning, test plan, test cases development, test network design and setup, test equipment and tools evaluation, installation and configuration, test cases execution, defect tracking, automation, reports and documentation.
In 2009, Amy Yang joined Core Mobile Networks as a Lead SQA Engineer. In this role, they provided system testing and network administration for CMN wireless network security products and solutions. Her job duties included the test strategy design, test cases development, test network setup and maintenance, and test cases execution.
In 2010, Amy Yang moved to Cisco Systems as an SQA Engineer, where they were responsible for system testing for Cisco Video Surveillance Manager Systems (VSM). As a consulting SQA engineer, they participated in VSM Media Server, AxClient, Operations Manager (VSOM), Virtual Matrix (VSVM) testing, as well A-list devices testing, including Cisco HD, SD network cameras and 3rd party cameras.
In 2016, Amy Yang joined Rubrik, Inc. as a Staff Technical Support Engineer. In this role, they had an in-depth understanding about the product software design and features, including Backup, Restore, Replication, Data Archival to the Cloud, and Disaster Recovery for the virtual machine, physical Linux, and Windows SOL servers and file sets. Amy was also familiar with troubleshooting snapshot, data transport and network related issues on Virtual Machine, ESXi host, and vCenter, and owned the highest number of cases in the team.
Finally, in 2018, Amy Yang joined Komprise as a Staff Technical Support Engineer.
