Darko Horvatin

Darko Horvatin, PhD, currently serves as the CEO and President of the Management Board at the Croatian Pension Investment Company, where responsibilities include financial analysis, compliance, and audit functions. In addition to this role, Darko is a lecturer at EFFECTUS University of Applied Sciences, a research associate with the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Croatia, and holds positions at KONČAR Group as Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board and President of the Audit Committee. Darko is also a member of the Management Board for the Croatian Private Equity and Venture Capital Association. Previous experience includes leadership roles in institutional sales at Erste&Steiermärkische Bank d.d. and sales management at Erste Group Bank AG, along with earlier positions at Banka Kovanica d.d. and the Croatian Institute for Banking and Insurance. Darko holds multiple degrees, culminating in a PhD in Economics from the Faculty of Economics, Business and Tourism at the University of Split, and has furthered expertise through executive education programs at notable institutions like Imperial Business School and NYU Stern School of Business.
