Sofia Ljungström is currently serving as the Nordic Manager for Repairs & Upgrades at KONE. Sofia began her career as an analytical simulation engineer after earning a Master of Science in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Chalmers University of Technology. Over the years, Sofia evolved into leadership roles, demonstrating her skills in agile transformation and project management at various organizations, including Östersunds kommun and ALTEN Sweden. Her contributions to leadership were recognized both as a top finalist for the Swedish Female Leader Engineer award in 2018 and as one of the most promising young leaders in the Årets Taus award in 2025. Sofia also co-founded the Ledarskapsnätverket Avancez through the Chalmers Alumni Association to foster community and leadership in engineering.
