Yohans Carmona Montana

Yohans Carmona Montana has a diverse work experience in the field of data science and computer vision. Yohans started their career as an Application Engineering and CAD Designer at Delphi, where they gained skills in communication, project management, and prototyping. Yohans then interned at Groupe i2S, where they worked on electronics and programming projects. Yohans later completed an internship at CEA - Commissariat à l'énergie atomique et aux énergies alternatives, where they focused on performance evaluation of localization applications using computer vision.

Yohans then joined SolexVintel as an Industrial Manager, responsible for integrating and implementing computer vision systems in the food industry. Yohans acquired skills in camera calibration, image processing, and managing. Yohans also worked as a Computer Vision - Data Science Engineer at SolexVintel, where they developed real-time computer vision systems for avocado damage classification using machine learning and deep learning techniques.

Yohans also worked at Octopus Robots as a Computer Vision Engineer, specializing in computer vision algorithms and systems applied to robotics. Notably, they worked in the agriculture sector and gained skills in SLAM, thermal vision, and 3D reconstruction.

Currently, Yohans is at Konfído, where they hold the position of Head of Data Science - Operations. Their previous roles at the company include Lead Data Scientist and Computer Vision - Data Science Engineer.

Yohans Carmona Montana completed a Master of Science (MSc) in Digital Signal and Image Processing at Cranfield University from 2014 to 2015. During the same period, Yohans also obtained a Master's degree in Real-time and Sensitive Systems from ESTIA Institute of Technology. Prior to that, from 2006 to 2011, Yohans earned a Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics from Universidad Autónoma de Ciudad Juárez. Additionally, Yohans pursued further studies in Mechanics and Automation at INSA de Rennes from 2009 to 2010. Yohans completed high school at Colegio de Bachilleres No. 6 from 2003 to 2006, focusing on physics, mathematics, and computer science. Yohans has also obtained various certifications, including Generative AI with Large Language Models from DeepLearning.AI, AI for Trading from Udacity, DS4A / Latin America 2020 with Honors from Correlation One, Machine Learning A-Z™: Hands-On Python & R In Data Science from Udemy, and Deep Learning A-Z from Udemy.
