Shaun Seong-Young Kim

Shaun Seong-Young Kim is a highly experienced creative professional currently serving as a Creative Director/Writer at Kong Studios, Inc. since October 2023 and as an External Director at The Pinkfong Company since January 2023. With a substantial background at Pixar Animation Studios from June 2012 to October 2023, Shaun held multiple roles, including Layout Artist and Lead Layout Artist, contributing to major films such as "Inside Out 2," "Toy Story 4," and "Luca." Shaun's expertise also extends to game cinematics as the Director of Pre-Production at GIANTSTEP and as the Director & Founder of Skim On West LLC, producing diverse content across platforms. Additionally, Shaun has experience in education as a lecturer at Coloso and in translation as a book translator for "The Cinema of George Lucas." Shaun holds an MFA from the University of Southern California and a BFA from Hongik University.
