Arun Viswanathan

Arun Viswanathan is an experienced engineering leader with a robust background in technology and management. Currently serving as VP of Engineering and India Site Leader at Kong Inc. since August 2024, Arun is focused on building the company's presence in India. Arun also acts as a mentor at topmate.io, offering guidance on career development and leadership. Previously, Arun held various leadership positions at Atlassian from October 2017 to July 2024, including Head of Engineering for Jira Service Management and IT Operations R&D, contributing significantly to product innovations and team development. Arun has a history of strategic management roles at companies including VMware, HP, Oracle, and Options Oracles, alongside academic experience as a research and teaching assistant. Arun earned a B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, an MS in Computer Science from the University of Illinois, and a Nano Degree in Artificial Intelligence from Udacity.
