Gertie Brughmans has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Gertie is currently the CIO at Kongsberg Precision Cutting Systems since April 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Esko for a significant portion of their career, holding multiple leadership positions such as Leadership Development Director, Colleague Experience Director, Director Global Service and Hardware Quality, Quality Director, Director Software Operations, Software Supply Chain Project Manager, and IT Project Manager. Before joining Esko, they worked as a Senior Usability Consultant at I2B and IMAQA. Gertie also gained experience as a Usability Consultant at The Reference. In the early years of their career, they worked at Barco Graphics, taking on roles such as BARCOnet Project Manager, Document Quality Supervisor, Documentation Manager, Training Manager, and Trainer. Gertie Brughmans began their professional journey as a Teacher of Italian at University Gent, Language Centre.
Gertie Brughmans obtained their Master's degree in Classical Philology from Ghent University, completing their studies from 1982 to 1986. Prior to that, they attended Koninklijk Atheneum Turnhout from 1976 to 1982. Additionally, in 2020, they received a certification in "Leading at a Distance" from LinkedIn.
