Merel de Groot

Merel de Groot is currently a Docent beroepsonderwijs at Koning Willem I College, starting August 2024, focusing on the COSMO Academy within the Tourism and Recreation department. Merel has extensive experience in hospitality and education, having served as Initiatiefnemer at GROOTs' Gastvrijheid since May 2019, where various management roles and training responsibilities were undertaken. Previous roles include Docent and begeleider werkveldoriëntatie at Cosmo, and extensive teaching experience at ROC Midden Nederland and Stichting Kasteel Heeswijk. Merel holds a Post-HBO degree in Doceren als 2e Beroep from Instituut Mentoris, and a strong educational background in Facility Services and Hospitality Management from Breda University of Applied Sciences and Saxion University.
