Juan Sebastián Ochoa Alvarez

Juan Sebastián Ochoa Alvarez is an experienced Energy & Sustainability Analyst specializing in offshore energy at Boskalis since April 2022. Prior to this role, Juan served as a Project Manager at Atica-Industria Ambiental, where notable achievements included the promotion of internal energy projects and the execution of energy audits. In the same company, Juan held the position of Project Engineer, successfully operating a 2 MW cogeneration plant and leading the development of two drinking water treatment plants as a Project Leader. Earlier experience includes leading renewable energy generation projects at Regeneración and working as a Graduate Teaching & Research Assistant at Universidad de los Andes, focusing on small-scale power generation systems. Juan holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, with a concentration in Energy Conversion, and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, both from Universidad de los Andes.
