Steffen Smit

Steffen Smit has over two decades of experience in opportunity and risk management within the construction and engineering sectors, currently serving as the Opportunity and Risk Manager for Tunnel, Dredging and Reclamation at Boskalis since April 2000. Smit has held various significant roles, including Senior Site Engineer for the first polder construction in Singapore and Risk Manager for the Maasvlakte 2 Port Expansion in Rotterdam. Additional positions include Engineering Manager for projects in Abu Dhabi and Bahrain, where responsibilities encompassed designing marine structures and managing coastal and environmental engineering projects. Smit's academic background includes a Master's degree in Coastal Engineering from Delft University of Technology and a high school diploma from Willem Lodewijk Gymnasium Groningen.
