Anna Beerens

Associate Editor Japanese Art Program at Brill

Anna Beerens serves as a Member of the Board of the Heinz Kaempfer Fund since February 2021 and has held the position of Associate Editor for the Japanese Art Program at Brill since 2012, managing projects on a freelance basis. Prior to these roles, Anna was the Editor in Chief of Andon, the Journal of the Society for Japanese Arts, from 2012 to June 2020, and served as Director of Studies at Universiteit Leiden from November 2007 to January 2009. Anna earned a PhD in Japanology from Leiden University between 1992 and 1997.
