Huib van Straten

Huib van Straten has extensive experience in the chemical and logistics industries, currently serving as Global Asset Manager at Royal Vopak since October 2006. Previous roles at Vopak include Operations & Technical Manager and Operations Manager for Vopak Belgium, Terminal Manager at Vopak Terminal Botlek, and Manager of Global Operations. Huib also worked as an International Technical Advisor within the Corporate Operational Excellence department at Vopak. Additional experience includes membership in the Commissie Transport Gevaarlijke Goederen and the Commissie Natte Bulk Terminals from 2014 to 2016. Prior to Vopak, Huib worked as a Capital Project Analyst and Consultant at Independent Project Analysis and as a Process Engineer at Fluor Corporation. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering and Chemistry from Eindhoven University of Technology and a recent program at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.
