In 2008, Johan worked as a developer of applications support systems at Volvo IT, where they developed tools and provided support. Johan started their career as a Developer sub system responsible at Confidence Sweden AB from 2006 to 2008, where they were technically responsible for a booking module and coordinated assignments for the development team.

Johan Larsson completed their Bachelor's degree at Jönköping University from 2000 to 2004. Following this, they pursued a Masters degree in Computer Science at Mid Sweden University, which they successfully obtained in the year 2005.
