Jan Matas

Jan Matas is an experienced engineering leader currently serving as the VP of Engineering at Kontext since November 2023. Previously, Jan held the position of Principal Engineer and Chief Technology Officer at Deepnote from February 2019 to July 2023. Jan's career includes roles at Two Sigma as a Software Engineer, focusing on data science infrastructure, and Palantir Technologies, where full stack development was applied to a data analytics tool. Additionally, Jan worked at Google as a Site Reliability Engineer, developing systems for resource usage analysis in YouTube's ContentID. Jan holds a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Computing with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence from Imperial College London.
