John Staples

John Staples has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. John started their career at Inmar in 1998, where they worked as an Account Representative and later became a Senior Account Executive. At Inmar, they were responsible for client retention, selling new products and services, managing contract negotiations, and executing strategic plans.

In 2007, John joined Renfro Corporation as a Category Manager, where they remained until 2010. John then moved on to VF Jeanswear, where they held various roles, including Category Manager, Sr. Merchandiser, National Account Manager for Walmart, and Business Development and Strategy.

In 2019, John joined Kontoor Brands, Inc. as the Director of Merchandising, leading the North America Merchandising team in strategic planning, line management, and go-to-market activities for Lee branded product lines. Later in 2021, they were promoted to Director of Sales at the same company.

Throughout their career, John has demonstrated expertise in driving revenue growth, managing cross-functional teams, and executing long-term strategic plans. John has also shown strong proficiency in P&L responsibility and market share growth.

John Staples earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Economics from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where they studied from 1994 to 1998.
