Marie-Josee Blais has a diverse work experience in the field of software and network administration. Marie-Josee started their career at Miranda in 1994 as a Network Administrator and worked there until 2003. During their time at Miranda, they also served as a Software Designer from 2000 to 2003. From 2004 to 2006, they worked at Algolith Inc. as a Software Designer and Network Administrator, where they specialized in embedded software programming and the implementation of HDMI code on video products. Since 2006, they have been working at Kontron Canada, initially as a Software Qualification Specialist from 2006 to 2008, and later as a Software Designer from 2008 until the present.

Marie-Josee Blais has a diverse education history. In 2003, they attended the École de technologie supérieure and studied Software Engineering, although the degree they obtained is not specified. Marie-Josee also attended College Lionel-Groulx, where they earned a Diplome Collegial in Technologies de Systemes Ordinees. Later, Marie-Josee Blais attended the Université de Montréal but did not complete a degree. Marie-Josee'sfield of study at Université de Montréal was Informatique, Recherches Operationnelles.

In addition to their formal education, Marie-Josee Blais has obtained several certifications. In 2015, they completed the Cryptography I course offered by Coursera. Marie-Josee also earned certificates in various programming areas, such as Pattern-Oriented Software Architectures: Programming Mobile Services for Android Handheld Systems and Programming Mobile Applications for Android Handheld Systems, both of which were obtained through Coursera Verified Certificates. Furthermore, in 2013, they completed the C++ For C Programmers course offered by Coursera.
