Chasen Born has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Chasen began their career as a Mechanical Engineer at the Georgia Institute of Technology, where they conducted undergraduate research. Chasen then joined GE in 2010 and held multiple positions, including CAD/CAM Engineer, Design Automation Engineer, and Manufacturing System Engineer. In these roles, Chasen led various initiatives, such as implementing additive manufacturing services and driving digital transformation. Their notable achievements include leading cross-functional teams, releasing software on schedule, and developing strategies to optimize outcomes. Chasen later joined Koops Automation Systems in 2017, working as a Project Manager, Central Operations Lead, and Global Purchasing Lead. Currently, they serve as the Business Unit Director at the company.
Chasen Born completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology from 2008 to 2010. Before that, they attended Georgia Southern University from 2006 to 2008 for Mechanical Engineering Technology before transferring. Additionally, Chasen has obtained various certifications including a Six Sigma Green Belt from GE and certifications in Haas Controls, OSHA 10, PC-Dmis CAD++, and Vericut from their respective institutions.
