Jason Bakk has a diverse work experience in the field of operations and management. Jason started their career at Norampac as a Paper Mill Supervisor, where they supervised a team of 50 employees and was responsible for producing high-quality linerboard. After that, they joined Middough as a Sr. Process Engineer, where they worked on various chemical industrial projects and served as a lead engineer. Jason then moved on to Cristal Global, where they took on the role of Operations Manager and managed a team of 30 employees at a chemical production facility. During their time at Cristal Global, they successfully commissioned the start-up of two new titanium production technologies and was responsible for process management, optimization, and health and safety. Jason's most recent role was at Koppers Inc., where they had multiple positions. Jason started as a PA Plant Superintendent and managed a Phthalic Anhydride chemical production facility, overseeing production supervisors, area supervisors, hourly workers, and engineers. Jason then became the Plant Manager before eventually being promoted to the position of Manager of North American Operations. In their current role as Vice President - North American Carbon Materials and Chemicals, Jason is responsible for all North American carbon materials and chemicals activities, including production, logistics, commercial, and financial performance. Jason'sfocus is on driving a strong zero harm culture and maintaining operational excellence throughout the business unit, particularly in monitoring production at chemical plant manufacturing sites.

Jason Bakk completed their Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Chemical Engineering from Western University in the years 1993 to 1998. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Analytical Chemistry from the same university, from 1994 to 1998. Later, in the years 2016 to 2018, they attended Benedictine University and obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree.
