Michael Genz, EIT has extensive work experience in various roles within the engineering industry. Michael began their career at NRG (formerly Midwest Generation) as a Coal Plant Operator from March 2005 to August 2015. Following this, they worked as an R&D Intern at Crane Composites from May 2017 to August 2017. In July 2018, they joined USG as a Project Engineer, contributing to engineering projects until April 2019. From May 2019 to May 2020, Michael worked at Koppers Inc. as a Shift Supervisor, overseeing daily operations. Michael then transitioned to the role of Phthalic Anhydride Distillation Area Supervisor from May 2020 to April 2022. Currently, they assume the position of Naphthalene Production Engineer at Koppers Inc., responsible for coordinating production activities and collaborating with various departments.
Michael Genz, EIT completed their Associate of Arts and Sciences (AAS) degree in Chemical Engineering from Joliet Junior College, where they studied from 2003 to 2015. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Illinois Chicago, completing their studies there from 2015 to 2018.
