Kevin Van Houtte

Kevin Van Houtte has had extensive work experience in the field of software engineering and cloud-native development. Kevin is currently the Founder of BitElite Solutions and a Senior Software Engineer at KOR Financial, positions they started in 2022.

Before that, Kevin worked as a Senior Software Engineer at a Stealth Startup from July 2021 to August 2022.

From 2018 to 2021, they held various roles at KBC Bank & Verzekering, including Cloud-Native Developer at Kate, Cloud-Native Developer at Francis, and Tech Lead / Cloud-Native Developer. In these roles, they were responsible for implementing functional stories, building CI/CD pipelines on AWS, preparing applications for production, deploying microservices, and integrating with various third-party services.

Kevin also worked as a Competence Lead Cloud-Native Development at Ordina Belgium from January 2019 to July 2021, where they researched solutions and trends in the cloud-native landscape.

Prior to that, they were a Software Engineer at Eni, a Cloud Automation Engineer at TVH, a Cloud Engineer at Proximus, and a Technical Designer at Belfius.

Throughout their career, Kevin has demonstrated expertise in Java, JavaScript, cloud-native development, and automation. Kevin has also showcased strong leadership skills, effective communication, and a commitment to creating secure and robust APIs.

Kevin Van Houtte obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Computer Software Engineering from Katholieke Hogeschool Leuven, attending from 2010 to 2015. Prior to that, they attended Technisch Heilighart Instituut Tessenderlo from 2003 to 2010, where they completed their High School education with a focus on Multimedia Techniques. Additionally, they obtained the CKAD: Certified Kubernetes Application Developer certification from The Linux Foundation in June 2021.
