Luis Vargas

Luis Vargas is a Computer Science lecturer at California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo, teaching CSC 357 since August 2024. Concurrently, Luis serves as a Senior Software Developer at Körber Supply Chain, focusing on modernizing legacy SOAP and REST services into a cloud Microservices architecture. Prior experience includes work as a Senior Software Development Consultant at Sogeti, enhancing a web-based jail application, and as a Software Development Consultant at The Spitfire Group, where Luis refactored Visual Studio solutions. Earlier roles include Software Engineer at Inovonics, Senior Software Developer at Smart Coaching Inc., President of Visual Software Solutions Inc., and Senior Application Engineer and Database Programmer at Spatial Corp. Luis holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Miami and Arizona State University, respectively.
