Principal Sales Engineer at Korbyt

Ross Wilson has extensive work experience in the field of audio/video and technology solutions. Ross began their career with Sound Source Electronics in 2013, where they worked as a Lead Audio/Video Technician. During their time there, they gained expertise in interactive projector configuration, smart board installation, surround sound AVR installation, video wall design/deployment, white noise system planning, and auditorium lighting design. Ross also acted as a project manager for various AV projects.

In 2015, Ross joined Anistar Technologies as an Audio/Video Technician, where they continued to develop their skills in this field. Ross then moved on to Whitlock in 2017, where they held two roles. First, they served as an Audio/Video Quality Control Technician, responsible for installing Microsoft Surface Hubs, testing Crestron room-automation systems, and finalizing rooms. Ross also assisted in creating and implementing quality control procedures. Later in the year, they became a Lead Audio/Video Technician, leading a team in building video wall infrastructure, creating CAT6 networks, configuring Crestron room automation systems, and installing conference room AV systems.

In 2018, Ross joined Crestron Electronics as an Application Engineer. In this role, they were the primary technical resource for dealers and was responsible for the design, programming, and troubleshooting of technology solutions. Ross also created product-related technical/sales strategies and conveyed insights and strategies to the sales team and customers.

Most recently, Ross has been working at Korbyt since 2022. Ross started as a Sales Engineer, working collaboratively with Sales Executives to scope customer solutions and gather project information. Ross also supported proof-of-concept planning and implementation and the RFI/RFP process. Currently, they hold the position of Principal Sales Engineer.

Throughout their career, Ross has demonstrated excellent technical and communication skills, enabling him to effectively meet customer goals and drive the acquisition of new clients. Ross has experience working with Fortune 100 companies and has a strong understanding of building consensus across large teams and business units.

Ross Wilson completed their Associate of Science (AS) degree at Hill College in 2016. Prior to that, they pursued a General Education degree with a field of study in Applied Science at Southern Adventist University, completing it in 2015. In addition to their formal education, Ross has obtained various certifications, including BSA-106 Video Wall Configurations from BrightSign LLC, Barco Clickshare Product Specialist from Barco, Solstice Product Sales Certification from Mersive Technologies, BSA-101 and BSA-102 from BrightSign LLC, Korbyt Anywhere Digital Signage Certification and Korbyt Anywhere Space Management Certification from Korbyt, Jira Fundamentals Certificate from Atlassian, Microsoft Teams Rooms Solution Sales Professional from Microsoft, IntelliMix Room - Technical Enablement Training from Shure Incorporated, Certified Audio Technician (AUD), Crestron Certified Commercial Systems Designer (CDTI-DCT-C), Crestron Certified Commercial Technician/Field Engineer (CTI-TCT-C), Crestron Sales Certification Track - Commercial (CTI-SCT-C), Crestron Flex Microsoft Teams Certification (FFT), Commercial Lighting Control - Agent Commissioning (CLC-T), Crestron Certified DigitalMedia NVX Networking (DM-NVX-N), DigitalMedia Certified Technician (DMC-T-4K), DMC-D-4K Certification, and DMC-E-4K Certification from Crestron Electronics. The most recent certification obtained by Ross was the BSA-106 Video Wall Configurations from BrightSign LLC in December 2022.
