İbrahim Özgür Yıldırım holds a BA in Chemical Engineering from Middle East Technical University and an EMBA degree from Sabancı University. He joined the Sabancı Group in 1998. After the merger of Kordsa - Sakosa, he was appointed as Technical Manager in 2007 after taking various positions in the Technical and Production Departments. Between 2008 and 2013, he continued his career at the R&D Center as the Manager of the New Product and Process Development Department. Yıldırım joined the Executive Board in 2013 as Technology and Market Development Assistant General Manager and played a role in the development of innovation culture at Kordsa. Yıldırım, who has contributed to the establishment of Construction and Composite Business Units at Kordsa since 2014, He contributed to the establishment of Composite Technologies Center of Excellence (KTMM), which is the model of Industry-University cooperation in the field of composites in Turkey, as the Composite Business Unit Leader. It offers carcass and industrial fabrics that are used in the structure of vehicle tires; rubber and plastic materials; denier fiber, and connection fabrics. The Company also produces and markets fabrics for mechanical rubber goods and other rubber reinforcement materials; converts various types of yarns into cord fabrics, and provides nylon six, nylon 6.6 for use in tires and mechanical rubber goods, and polyethylene-terephthalate high modulus low shrinkage polyester, as well as rayon heavy decitex yarns.
