Don MacDonald

Don MacDonald is the current Director at KORE Mining. Prior to this, they served as the President of NorZinc Ltd from May 2018 to May 2021. NorZinc is a zinc-lead-silver mining company with a Prairie Creek Mine in the NWT. MacDonald was also the Acting Chief Executive Officer of KGHM International from October 2016 to March 2017, and the CFO from August 2010 to March 2017. KGHM International is a 6-mine operation with a $4B project under development. MacDonald was also the CFO of NOVAGOLD from January 2003 to April 2010, helping the company grow from a market cap of $200M to $2B in four years. Prior to that, they were the CFO of Forbes Medi-Tech Inc. from February 2001 to January 2003, and De Beers Canada Inc (DBCI) from December 1999 to February 2001. MacDonald began their career as the CFO of Dayton Mining Inc. in February 1991 and held that position until December 1999.

Don MacDonald has a Master's degree in Engineering from the University of Oxford and a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from the University of Oxford. Don is also a Chartered Accountant from the British Columbia Institute of Chartered Accountants.
