Lindsay Gorrill

Founder & CEO at KORE Power

Lindsay Gorrill is the founder and CEO of KORE Power, a position they have held since December 2018. Prior to their current role, they served as the CEO, President, and Director of Canada Fluorspar Inc. from January 2007 to December 2018. In this role, they were responsible for bringing the company from geological exploration stage to production of Fluorspar. During their time at CFI, they raised employee numbers from 10 to approximately 160, raised over $155M in equity & debt financing from various institutions, and oversaw all environmental studies and negotiations with interested parties.

From January 2005 to December 2017, Gorrill also served as the Director of the Rypien Foundation. In this role, they were responsible for overseeing the operations of the foundation and ensuring that it ran smoothly.

Prior to their work with the Rypien Foundation, Gorrill served as the Chief Executive Officer of WGI Heavy Minerals Inc. (Previously Western Garnet) from January 1991 to December 2005. In this role, they negotiated the purchase of Emerald Creek Garnet, the companies flagship US mine and plant in 1991. After the purchase of the mine, they negotiated with environmental stakeholders, such as EPA, Core of Engineers and Idaho Forest Service to approve of reopening of the mine. Lindsay also rebuilt operations and sales teams in Northern Idaho. During the span of 1996-2002, they opened 3 mines and plants in India while developing an international sales and marketing team. In 2002, they built a recycling operation in Germany. Throughout their time at WGI (Western Garnet), they were task with managing the communications with stakeholders and stakeholders, ensuring compliance with TSX, Canadian and US regulatory bodies and tax requirements, and raising over $70M of equity and debt during different stages of the company's life.

Lindsay Gorrill completed a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) at Simon Fraser University, with a focus in accounting, marketing and finance. Lindsay is also a Chartered Accountant (C.A.), having obtained their designation from CPA Canada.
