Marc Alexander Burmeister

Since September 1st, 2021, Dr. Marc-Alexander Burmeister new CEO of Korian Deutschland AG and member of the Group Management Board of the Korian AG Group. The habilitated anesthetist and intensive care physician with almost 20 years of experience as a manager in the pharmaceutical and medical technology sector has extensive expertise and a large network in the clinical and outpatient areas. From 2014 to 2020, Burmeister was President of the pharmaceutical and medical supplies company B. Braun in France. After that, as CEO, he was responsible for the Group's home market in Germany, which has sales of over one billion euros. In addition to the expansion of the product and service business, the main focus was on the further development of the network of 40 medical care centers and home care. Burmeister began his career as an assistant physician and later as a senior physician in anesthesia and intensive care at the Hamburg University Hospital Eppendorf. He also completed the "Strategy in the Age of Digital Disruption" program at the renowned business school INSEAD.
