Marc-Alexander Burmeister

Since September 1, 2021, Dr. Marc-Alexander Burmeister is the new CEO of Korian Deutschland AG and member of the Group Management Board of the Korian AG Group. The qualified anesthetist and intensive care physician with almost 20 years of experience as a manager in the pharmaceutical and medical technology sector has extensive expertise and a large network in the clinical and outpatient sector. From 2014 to 2020, Burmeister was President of the pharmaceutical and medical supplies company B. Braun in France. Afterwards, as CEO, he was responsible for the Group's home market in Germany with sales of over one billion euros. In addition to expanding the product and service business, the main focus was on the further development of the network of 40 medical care centers and homecare care. Burmeister began his career as an assistant doctor and later as a senior physician in anesthesia and intensive care medicine at the Hamburg University Clinic in Eppendorf. He also completed the “Strategy in the Age of Digital Disruption” program at the renowned INSEAD business school.
