Akshay Dhingra has a diverse work experience in the field of creative directing, art direction, and design. Akshay has most recently worked as a Creative Director at Korra since November 2022. Prior to that, they were an Associate Creative Director at Korra from April 2019 to November 2022.
Before joining Korra, Akshay worked at Ogilvy as a Creative Controller from June 2018 to April 2019 and as a Senior Art Director from April 2016 to July 2018. At Ogilvy, they conceptualized and designed digital advertising campaigns, websites, and social media content for clients such as Honda Cars, Dabur, and American Express. Akshay played a key role in launching the American Express Membership Rewards Card in the Indian market and the new Honda City (2017 model) with India's first crow-sourced graphic novel.
Akshay also gained valuable experience at iris Worldwide, where they worked as an Art Supervisor from April 2015 to April 2016, an Art Director from April 2014 to April 2015, and a Sr. Visualiser from June 2013 to April 2014. During their time at iris Worldwide, they conceptualized and designed advertising campaigns for clients such as Shell Global, DLF Estate, Pernord Ricard, Beam Suntory, Reckitt Benckiser, and Indusnd Bank. Akshay was involved in various design projects, including print design, web design, social media strategy/design, graphic design, and event strategy design.
Additionally, Akshay has worked as an Asst. Art Director at Fluorescence Communications from January 2013 to June 2013 and as a Designer at Tomorrow People for a brief period from September 2012 to December 2012.
At Law and Kenneth, Akshay worked as a Visualiser from May 2010 to July 2011. Akshay worked on brands such as Dabur, Unitech Properties, Kelvinator, Kent Water Purifier, and Sansui. Akshay actively participated in and contributed to 15 pitches during their time at the company.
Furthermore, Akshay gained early experience in the industry through an internship at Network18, where they worked in the Online Graphics Department of the News Channel from May 2009 to July 2009. Akshay had the opportunity to build online news slides using Vizartist software.
In 2008, Akshay also completed an internship at Encompass Events.
Akshay Dhingra pursued their education in a chronological manner. Akshay began their studies in 2006 at Guru Nanak Dev University, where they completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Applied Arts in 2010. After that, they pursued a higher level of education at Birmingham City University from 2011 to 2012, earning a Master of Arts degree in Visual Communication.
