Nikhil Patel

Nikhil Patel has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Nikhil is currently working at Kosmos Energy as the Director of Internal Audit, where they manage and executes operational audits, IT audits, and special projects. Nikhil also assists with annual planning and supervises the Internal Audit team. Prior to this role, Nikhil worked at Apache Corporation as the Internal Audit Manager, Audit Advisor, and Senior Auditor - Internal Controls. Nikhil was responsible for managing audit engagements, providing guidance to staff, and ensuring completion of deliverables. Before joining Apache Corporation, Nikhil was a Business Analyst Consultant at Sense Corp, where they led the design and implementation of integrated solutions to support decision-making within the organization. Nikhil also has experience as a Senior Systems Analyst at IKON Office Solutions, providing technical support and resolving business application issues, as well as a Programmer Analyst at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, where they developed program specifications and designed databases. Overall, Nikhil has demonstrated expertise in internal audit, IT audit, business analysis, and technical support throughout their career.

Nikhil Patel, CRISC, received a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems Technology from the University of Houston, earning the degree between 1995 and 2000. In addition to their degree, they obtained a Certification in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) from ISACA in December 2010. Nikhil also holds a certification titled "The Rig School™–Introduction to Offshore Operations" from Canvas Credentials (Badgr), obtained in 2023.
