Samuel Phelan has a strong background in project management and operations. Samuel currently works for KOTA Energy Group as the Manager of Project Management since March 2022. Previously, they worked at G3 Solar where they held multiple roles, including Manager of Operations and Senior Project Manager from March 2021 to March 2022. In this role, they successfully implemented strategies that resulted in a decrease in project timelines and on-hold tasks. Samuel also managed the entire operations department, including customer service, sales support, engineering, and project management. Prior to G3 Solar, Phelan worked at Tesla as a Solar Analyst from September 2017 to December 2018. During their time at Tesla, they organized and implemented record-keeping systems, created business process flow charts, and compiled production reports. Phelan also has experience as a Network Infrastructure Engineer at Brigham Young University, a Project Manager Intern at Union Pacific Railroad, and various internships in project coordination roles at EcoLife, Provo Sustainability Committee, and Allegiant. Samuel also worked as a Shipping & Logistics Manager and General Laborer at Fast Fill Systems. Overall, Phelan has a diverse range of project management experiences across different industries.
Samuel Phelan completed their education from 2013 to 2017 at Brigham Young University, where they pursued a degree in Life Sciences. Samuel focused on STEM (Eco-Business) and Business Management as their field of study. In addition to their formal education, Samuel has obtained several certifications, including 10-Hour OSHA from the American Safety Council, Inc. Samuel has also completed courses in Fundamentals of Business Analytics, Introduction to Excel Macros and Excel VBA, Introduction to Microsoft Power BI, and Supply Chain: Planning of Resources & Detailed Scheduling through Udemy.
