Andrew Donaldson

Andrew Donaldson is currently a Network Support Specialist at Kotman Technology. Prior to this, they worked as a Computer & Electronic Support Technician at Federico Consulting, Inc. from January 2016 to October 2020. There, they offered IT support to over 40 small, medium, and large businesses in the Fresno area. Andrew was responsible for troubleshooting various hardware and software issues and fully resolving them quickly. Additionally, they used ConnectWise Automate to actively monitor clients’ networks and used ConnectWise Control to remotely connect to servers and computers. Andrew followed industry best practices to optimize security and performance of servers, workstations, and networks. This included providing Windows and MacOS desktop support directly to end users, maintaining Windows and Linux servers and configuring them to best practices, managing network infrastructure including DHCP, DNS, VPNs, firewalls, routers, switches, and Wi-Fi, managing domain names, DNS records, and SSL certificates, working with Citrix and RDS hosted desktop solutions, managing Active Directory and Group Policy, moving over 10 companies to new Windows Server 2016/2019 infrastructure, managing server backups and disaster recovery using Veeam, Datto, and Windows Server Backup, managing on-premises Exchange mail servers, managing Microsoft 365 including licensing, SharePoint, OneDrive, e-mail, Azure AD, and Intune, migrating over 30 companies to Office 365 from on-premises Exchange and other mail providers. Andrew Donaldson has a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Information Systems with a minor in Business Administration from California State University, Chico. Andrew also has a certification from CompTIA in CompTIA Network+ ce Certification. Prior to that, they completed their GE and lower-division courses for computer information systems at Shasta College. Andrew also has a high school diploma from Redding Christian School.
