Jamaludin Bin Nasir

Datuk Jamaludin Bin Nasir has over three decades of experience in the finance industry and currently is serving as the Chairman of Kotra Industries Berhad since his appointment on 02 January 2017.

Datuk Jamaludin holds degrees in Bachelor of Science, Finance & Business Economics, and Bachelor of Arts, Economics from Southern Illinois University. He has received his Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from Texas A&M International University (formerly known as Laredo State University).

He was the Head and Assistant General Manager, Corporate and Capital Markets of Kwong Yik Bank, presently known as RHB Bank for eleven years. From February 1997 to June 2005, he joined Dresdner Bank AG as the General Manager, Labuan, and the Group Principal Officer in Malaysia. In 1999, he served Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein as the Chief Operating Officer, Director (Global Business Services) Malaysia, and Director, Capital Markets and Syndicate in the Asia Pacific ex-Japan regional team based in Singapore till the year 2005.

He joined Maybank in July 2005 as the Executive Vice President and Chief Credit Officer till June 2006. He then held the positions of Senior Executive Vice President and Group Chief Credit Officer of Maybank Group from July 2006 till June 2010. Besides that, he was also a member of the Group Management Committee. Thereafter, he was appointed as the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Asian Finance Bank (now known as MBSB Bank) from July 2010 to May 2012.
