Matheus Furtado e Faria

Matheus Furtado e Faria, M.Eng., serves as the Director of Technical Services and Product and Consulting Manager at KPI Mining Solutions since October 2021. Matheus has held the role of Course Lecturer for MIME 413-513 - Strategic Mine Planning under Uncertainty at McGill University from September 2024 to December 2024. Experience includes a tenure at KPI Digital Solutions as a Senior Mine Planning Consultant and Product Manager and a Research Assistant at McGill University, where Matheus developed an optimization method enhancing mine net present value and reducing costs. Prior positions include Manager of Environmental Engineering at CEEL Consultoria e Análises Ambientais, with early internships at ArcelorMittal, Vale, and UFMG. Matheus holds a Bachelor of Engineering from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais, with exchange studies in Geological and Earth Sciences in France and in Mining and Mineral Engineering in Portugal, and is completing a Master of Engineering degree at McGill University.
