James Hawkins

James Hawkins, CPA, CA, currently serves as Associate Director in Deal Advisory (M&A Transaction Services) at KPMG Nederland since May 2021, following a managerial role in the same field at KPMG Canada from January 2019 to April 2021. With extensive experience in financial analysis, James has evaluated business performance, sustainability of earnings, and key financial metrics throughout a diverse range of transactions. Prior to KPMG, James worked at BDO Canada from January 2014 to December 2018, overseeing financial statement audits across various industries while managing teams and client engagements. James began a career in finance with internships at Molson Coors Canada, Mars Petcare, and Mars, where roles included financial analysis and cost strategy recommendations. Academic credentials include an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) Co-Op Option in Accounting and a Graduate Diploma in Accounting, both from Wilfrid Laurier University's Lazaridis School of Business & Economics.
