Valentijn Kerklaan

Valentijn Kerklaan has extensive experience in the field of auditing and risk management, currently serving as a Partner in the Risk Management Group and in the Department of Professional Practice at KPMG Nederland since January 1996. Previous roles include Director and Senior Manager within the Forensic department at KPMG. Valentijn served as a member of various working groups focused on combating financial crime, including money laundering and corruption, through the European Contact Group and the Nederlandse Beroepsorganisatie van Accountants (NBA). Additionally, Valentijn has held positions on several boards and committees, including as an external member of the audit committee at FairWork and as a board member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, Dutch Chapter. In academia, Valentijn has contributed as a lecturer in Auditing Theory at Erasmus University Rotterdam. Education includes a degree in Accounting/Auditing from NBA, and earlier schooling at St. Janscollege and Kardinaal de Jong School.
