Kelly Shaffer

Kelly Shaffer is the Managing Director of the Department of Professional Practice at KPMG. With a diverse background in audit and advisory, Kelly spent three years building a strong foundation in the audit practice before transitioning to advisory, where they served significant Fortune 500 clients in IT Audit and SOC engagements for eight years. Kelly also spent two years in Risk Management, which enhanced their skills in SOC contracting and methodology. Since joining the Department of Professional Practice in 2021, Kelly has faced major challenges involving SOC consultations and controls projects, emphasizing the importance of collaboration and adaptability in their work. They earned a Bachelor of Business Administration with a focus on accounting, management, and Spanish from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
