Karl Nelson

Karl Nelson is the CEO of KPN Consulting, LLC, where they work with financial institutions on credit, ALCO, strategic planning, funding, liquidity, and Board of Directors training issues. They previously held the role of SVP at Silverton Bank, N.A. (2007–2009), coordinating trade association educational outreach and regulator relationships. Earlier in their career, they were SVP at the Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta (1991–2003), where they managed sales, marketing, and strategic planning, and served as Regional Director at Promontory Interfinancial Network (2003–2006), consulting with banks in the Southeast on deposit strategies. They earned a BA, MBA, Masters of Insurance, Mathematics, MBA Finance, and Masters of Insurance from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Penn State University, and Georgia State University.
