Mary Jean Robertson

Mary Jean Robertson is an accomplished artist and oral historian with extensive experience in advocating for Native American communities. Since September 2008, Mary Jean has worked with the Ohlone tribe through the Ohlone Profiles Project to raise awareness of San Francisco's original inhabitants. In addition, Mary Jean serves on the Leadership Council of the Cherokee Society of the Greater Bay Area, engaging in community-building activities. As a programmer for KPOO Radio Station since October 1972, Mary Jean produces the show "Voices of the Native Nations," focusing on Native issues every Wednesday. Previous roles include board member for the Intertribal Friendship House and Deputy Clerk III at the San Francisco Superior Court. Mary Jean has also held positions such as Co-chair of the Native American Caucus for SEIU Local 2010 and Administrative Assistant at the Native American Indian Senior Center. Educational qualifications include degrees in Native American Studies and Psychology from San Francisco State University and Theatre and Psychology from San Jose City College.
