Janelle Kim

Janelle Kim is an experienced events manager currently working at KQED since January 2018, where Janelle leads the conference and event strategy for KQED Education, focusing on outreach to educators and youth to support underrepresented students. Prior to this role, Janelle served as an Event and Community Management Specialist at SCS Global Services from May 2015 to December 2017, promoting sustainability practices as a marketing coordinator. Janelle began a career in marketing at HarperOne Publishers, progressing from Assistant Marketing Manager after starting as a Marketing Assistant. Janelle also gained valuable organizational and interpersonal skills as a Small Groups Ministry Assistant at Abundant Life Christian Fellowship and experience in education as a tutor at The Reading Clinic. Janelle holds a BA in English from Santa Clara University and an Associate of Arts degree in English Language and Literature from the College of San Mateo.
