Pernille Bidstrup

Pernille Bidstrup is a highly experienced professional in the field of psychology and public health, currently serving as the Head of the Research Team on Psychological Aspects of Cancer at the Danish Cancer Institute since October 2023. Pernille has been with the Danish Cancer Society since January 2003, holding various positions including postdoctoral researcher, head of a research group, and psychologist during the Ph.D. studies. Additionally, Pernille is an associate professor (external) at the Department of Psychology at Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen since June 2019. Earlier experience includes serving as a research assistant at San Francisco State University's Public Research Institute from 2000 to 2002. Pernille holds a Ph.D. in Public Health from Københavns Universitet, obtained between 2005 and 2009, as well as a MA in Psychology from San Francisco State University (2000-2003) and a BA in Psychology from Roskilde University (1997-2000).
