Niklas Thidevall is a researcher and legal expert currently employed at RISE Research Institutes of Sweden since 2020. Thidevall also serves as a deputy board member at Kraftringen beginning in April 2023. Previous roles include serving as a special adviser at the Swedish Prime Minister's Office from 2016 to 2019, focusing on policy negotiations in civil, procedural, criminal, and migration law, as well as providing strategic advice to ministers. Thidevall held a similar role at the Ministry of Enterprise and Innovation in 2015. Earlier experience includes work as an associate lawyer at Roschier Advokatbyrå from 2011 to 2015, where attention was given to banking, finance, M&A, and dispute resolution. Additionally, time was spent as a law clerk at Stockholms tingsrätt and service as an electronic warfare specialist in the Swedish Army. Thidevall holds a Master of Laws degree from Stockholm University and pursued an exchange year in German law at the University of Freiburg.
