Stephen Bias

Stephen Bias is a Senior Data Engineer currently working at Kraken since April 2024, where involvement includes the commercial data team in KrakenFlex, focusing on data ingestion from distributed energy resources. Prior experience includes a role at Ki Insurance, where Stephen contributed to the embedded MLOps team by designing event-driven pipelines and optimizing ETL processes. At Onto, Stephen built a scalable real-time data platform, enhancing practices around security and CI/CD. Previously, as Lead Data Engineer at the Ministry of Justice UK, Stephen led initiatives that improved data pipelines impacting the criminal courts system and participated in architectural design and migration projects. Other past roles include Database Engineer at Hitachi Rail and Assistant Project Engineer at Network Rail.
