David Shea is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in the field of robotics, particularly in Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs). Currently serving as Chief Technology Officer at Kraken Robotics since March 2015, David has held multiple leadership roles, including Executive Vice President of Products and Senior Vice President of Engineering, where responsibilities encompass managing engineering teams and directing R&D programs. Prior experience includes leading engineering at Kraken Sonar Systems, Marine Robotics, and Marport Canada, along with early roles at International Submarine Engineering and the University of Southern Mississippi. David holds a Master's degree in Ocean Engineering and Naval Architecture from Memorial University and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and Mechatronics from the University of Victoria.
