Brett McLain

Brett McLain is a seasoned engineering leader with extensive experience in the digital asset exchange and telecommunications industries. Currently serving as Senior Director of Engineering at Kraken Digital Asset Exchange since December 2017, Brett manages teams focused on cryptocurrency and fiat payments, staking operations, NFT services, and custody solutions. Prior to this role, Brett held various positions at PotashCorp, including Critical Incident Coordinator and Application Systems Architect, contributing to critical IT incident management and technology integration. Brett also founded Relay Supply, an IoT business specializing in GSM-connected devices, and worked as a Software Developer at Vecima Networks, where innovative telecommunications technologies were developed for major industry players. Brett holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Saskatchewan.
