Bas van Deursen

Bas van Deursen has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Bas started their career at Cargill as a Process Engineer, where they were responsible for the startup of a pilot plant and improving the quality of the product. Bas then joined Oleon NV Oleochemical Company, where they held various roles such as Project Engineer, SAP migration PM, Corporate Energy Engineer, and Purchasing Manager. In these roles, they implemented energy-saving projects, managed purchasing for chemicals and ingredients, and coordinated SAP migration. Bas later joined Arizona Chemical as a Purchasing Manager before moving to Kraton Corporation, where they held positions as Senior Manager and Director of Procurement EU. In these roles, they managed procurement departments, improved category management, and implemented sustainable procurement practices. Bas also served as the TfS coordinator - Kraton corporate for TfS - TOGETHER FOR SUSTAINABILITY AISBL. Bas van Deursen earned a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology, where they studied from 1996 to 1999.
