Patrick D Kennedy has a diverse work experience in the insurance industry. Patrick D started their career as a Claims Adjuster at Crawford and Company in 1978. Patrick D then moved on to Insurance Company of North America (INA) in 1980, where they worked as a Commercial Underwriter until 1985. Following this, they joined Kraus-Anderson Insurance in 1985, where they held the position of Vice President.

Patrick D Kennedy attended Holy Name Seminary from 1972 to 1974, where they studied Preparatory & Divinity Studies. Following this, they enrolled at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 1974 to 1978, obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics. During their time at the University, they focused on Economics, Statistics, History, and International and Legal Studies (ILS).
