Margaret Hanken has a diverse work experience beginning in 2013 when they were self-employed as a Voice Teacher. In 2014, they became the Creative Lead at Hillsong Church Norway. In 2017, they were the Creative Director at Muli, where they led product design and worked with designers and manufacturers to meet all production and distribution goals. In 2019, Margaret worked as a UX Designer at USRES, Altai Foods, Inc. and MOJO. At USRES, they were the lead designer across company SaaS portals. At Altai Foods, Inc., they were the Design & Research lead for the start-up with extensive user research and iterative design. At MOJO, they rebranded and redesigned the existing app. In 2021, Margaret became a Senior UX Designer and then a UX Designer at CrowdStreet. Finally, in 2022, they became the Lead Product Designer at KREATR.

Margaret Hanken has a diverse educational background. In 2019, they completed a User Experience Design Immersive program at General Assembly. In 2020, they earned a Front-End Web + Mobile Development degree from Nucamp Coding Bootcamp. Margaret has also attended Berklee College of Music, Hillsong College, State College of Florida-Manatee-Sarasota, and Ålesund Kommune Vaksenopplæring, where they obtained a Certificate of Leadership and studied Bokmål, respectively. Additionally, they have obtained two certifications: Product Management from ELVTR in 2022 and Become a Product Manager from Udemy in 2021.
